World Leader in Digital Imaging and Printing solutions Epson to appreciate photography in Kenya This Month

 World’s leading digital imaging and printing solutions Epson , is set to sponsors the first edition of Kenya Photography Awards in honor of  those who have contributed to the growth and development photography in Kenya. Winners of the awards to be announced on 26 November 2013 at the KICC in a ceremony that is expected to attract photographers, creative professionals and photo enthusiasts alike.



 The Kenya Photography Awards is a brainchild of Photographers Association of Kenya together with PAWA 254. PAWA 254 is  social enterprise through which innovative professionals from diverse artistic fields exploit their creativity and talents to foster social change in the society they live in. Epson is a global innovation leader whose product line-up ranges from inkjet printers and printing systems, 3LCD projectors and industrial robots to sensors and other micro-devices.


Epson Kenya will provide the overall winner with a Stylus Photo 1410, a top-quality high-performance A3+ printer for the digital photography enthusiast. In addition, the Stylus photo R2000 and L800 printers will be donated for the event to aid in printing of photos by all attending photographers. Photographers below the age of 23 will not be left behind as there is a special category for most promising young photographer of the year.

The Stylus photo R2000 and L800 printer has  Claria Ultra High Definition Photographic ink. The Stylus Photo 1410 assures of bright, vivid images which are resistant to fading. The printers have smooth tonal gradation and to  finer details.  The qualities makes it to be one of the most valuable assets for the digital photographer.



 Other features of this printer include direct printing from a camera, CD/DVD printing, 6 individual ink cartridges and ink droplets as small as 1.5 picolitres due to the MicroPiezo print head. On its part, the Stylus photo R2000’s eight-color ink set takes advantage of Epson’s high-gloss encapsulated pigments including a gloss optimizer. The printer automatically selects Photo or Matte black ink for the best results on glossy, matte or fine art media.
